What tastes better than fresh fruit, picked right from the vine? Fruit you pick yourself! Although the weather report threatened rain, we bundled up and drove out to a farm to pick apples. Luckily, by the time we got out there, it had turned into a warm, sunny afternoon, and we made apple-picking our first item on the agenda.

Just jump on a wagon ride when you want to go deeper into the orchard for some Stayman Winesaps.
Thankfully the orchard had an all-you-can-eat-while-you-pick policy, because you couldn't stop these two from sampling the merchandise and I don't think we've ever eaten so many apples at one time!
And you can't leave a farm in October without grabbing a couple pumpkins too, right? Alice found a tiny one (Alice-sized), and Everett got the biggest one he could spot (Daddy-sized). Quite a healthy haul for one afternoon at the farm. And we'll be eating apples at every meal for the next month.
